Reporting application bugs
When you run into an application related bug, you can submit a report with/bug-report, or feel free to reach out to us via email. Someone on the team will respond to you shortly.
Make sure to include the following information:
- Operating system + Version
- Platform (arm mac, intel mac, etc)
- Slate version (run
/versionin the CLI) - Screenshots of the bug
Using /bug-report
The/bug-report command lets you submit a bug report directly from the TUI. To use it:
- Type
/bug-reportin the Slate TUI and press Enter. - You will be prompted to describe the issue — include what you were doing, what you expected to happen, and what actually happened.
- Slate automatically attaches relevant diagnostic information (OS, version, session context) to your report.
- The report is sent directly to the Random Labs team, who will follow up via email.
- Be as specific as possible about the steps that triggered the bug.
- If the TUI crashed or produced unexpected output, describe what you saw on screen.
- If you have a screenshot or screen recording, attach it when following up by email at
[email protected].
